Doctor Shahkarami completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Vanderbilt University. He has since devoted his expertise to caring for patients with vascular conditions and other ailments using minimally invasive interventional procedures. In addition to patient care, Dr. Shahkarami has had a long career in medical research, with recent scientific presentations on various topics in the fields of Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology.

 Dr. Ashkan Shahkarami is also a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and The American College of Phlebology. In his free time, Dr. Shahkarami enjoys traveling, bass fishing, snowboarding, golf, basketball, and football.

Dr. Bennett K. Abe completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at UCLA in 2004. He has since devoted his expertise to caring for patients with vascular conditions and other debilitating ailments using minimally invasive image-guided interventional procedures. Doctor Abe has performed thousands of such procedures throughout the various vascular systems of the body, and now specializes in minimally invasive vein treatment, uterine fibroids, and dialysis access procedures.

Dr. Francisco E. Valles completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Harvard University. He is passionate about helping our community by caring for patients with vascular conditions and other ailments using minimally invasive interventional procedures.

Dr Daniel Hightower, MD attended University of Missouri for Medical School on a Navy scholarship, followed by Radiology Residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma and University of Washington in Seattle. After being selected for Commander and serving for 10 years, he left the military for a 2 year Musculoskeletal fellowship and clinical faculty position at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology with the Washington School of Medicine in St Louis, Missouri. After that, he joined Mineral King Radiology here in Visalia in 2001.

Dr. Hightower feels blessed with the opportunity to serve our community through his expertise in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Interventional techniques. He is an active member of the Radiologic Society of North America and American Roentgen Ray Society. His greatest joys are his wife, four children, friends, and lifelong learning.

Dr. Roper graduated from Porterville High School and has enjoyed returning to Tulare County to be near his family. He studied medicine and did a radiology residency at UC Davis, then did a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. Dr. Roper finds that treating pain is one of the most satisfying aspects of his work at a Vascular and Interventional Procedure Specialist.

Dr. Roper is a member of the Radiologic Society of North America, the Society for Skeletal Radiology, and the American Roentgen Ray Society, Pacific Spine and Pain Society. In his free time, Dr. Roper enjoys spending time with his wife and five daughters, cooking, playing the cello, playing the piano, and lifting weights.

Growing up in Exeter, California, he developed a strong connection to his community and a passion for healthcare. He attended and graduated from both the College of the Sequoias and California State University, Fresno, prior to pursuing Physician Assistant education and training. Since joining the practice, he has shown profound dedication to extensive patient care. His active involvement in various medical procedures, assistance in diagnostics, and close collaboration with our multidisciplinary team have been instrumental in achieving optimal patient outcomes.

A lifelong resident of Tulare County, Patricia raised her family and completed the majority of her education locally —attending Lindsay High School, Porterville Community College, College of the Sequoias, and California State University, Fresno to achieve her dream of becoming an advanced practice nurse. She is deeply committed to serving and providing quality medical care to her home community.
